Calgary Neuropathy Association

1. Overview
The Calgary Neuropathy Association (the “Association,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical stewardship of all funds received. As a registered nonprofit organization operating in Canada, we adhere to applicable federal and provincial consumer protection standards and charitable best practices.
This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for donations, event registrations, programs, and other payments made to the Association.
2. Donations
2.1 General Donation Policy
Donations made to the Association are considered voluntary contributions in support of our mission and programs. As such, donations are generally non-refundable.
2.2 Exceptional Circumstances
Refunds for donations may be considered on a case-by-case basis under the following circumstances:

2.3 Refund Request Timeline
All refund requests for donations must be submitted within 15 business days of the transaction date.
2.4 Tax Receipts
If a refund is issued for a donation for which a charitable tax receipt has already been provided, the original receipt will be considered void and must not be used for tax purposes.
3. Event Registrations & Ticket Purchases
3.1 Refund Eligibility
Refunds for paid events (including fundraisers, galas, and educational sessions) are subject to the following:

Full refunds may be issued if cancellation is requested at least 7 days prior to the event

Partial refunds (up to 50%) may be issued for cancellations within 3–7 days of the event

No refunds will be issued for cancellations within 72 hours of the event, except in extenuating circumstances at our discretion
3.2 Event Cancellation by the Association
If the Association cancels or reschedules an event:

Registrants will be offered a full refund, or

The option to transfer the registration to a future event
4. Programs, Services, and Fees
Where the Association provides paid programs, workshops, or services:

Refund eligibility will be clearly outlined at the time of registration

Where no specific terms are provided, refunds will be assessed proportionally based on services rendered

No refunds will be issued once a program has been substantially delivered (greater than 50% completion)
5. Merchandise (if applicable)
If the Association offers merchandise:

Refunds or exchanges are accepted within 14 days of receipt

Items must be unused, in original condition, and accompanied by proof of purchase

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item is defective or incorrect
6. Payment Processing Errors
If you believe a payment has been processed incorrectly:

7. Method of Refund
Approved refunds will be issued:

Using the original method of payment whenever possible
